The design of “Pepa" Four-section hors-d'oeuvre dish by Lluis Clotet is reminiscent of a scrunched up piece of paper and is an example of the informal language typical of the objects he designs for the Alessi brand. The Catalan architect belongs to a group of designers that seek to contradict the perfection of form, which is seen as distant from the thoughts and hands of man. Constructed from uneven surfaces and rich in unpredictable reflections, the name of the Hors-d'hoeuvre dish is a homage to the characters from the novels of the poet Foix, who in turn lends his name to the pioneering Tray from this collection.
